Blue skies, powder snow and a temperature inversion - another beautiful day with Lynne, Tim and Neil. Today we went for a ski tour up into the Argentière basin under the dramatic north face of the Aiguille Verte, Les Droites, and Les Courtes. Then we skinned up the glacier du Tour Noir to the Col d' Argentière at 3552m. Well done to the team. :-)

Read More10cm of fresh snow today at Grand Montets. A bit misty but still good skiing. First day on my new skis - K2 Coomback 104 with Marker F10 Tour bindings. First impressions are extremely positive. The ski was stable on the piste and at speed, as well as quick and responsive in the trees. It held really well on steep hard snow and on the chopped up crud.
Read MoreIn Chamonix today after driving the 1000 miles from Windermere yesterday. We skied the Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi cable car at 3842m. The snow was good and we had clear skies. This afternoon we skied from the top of the Grands Montets (3292m). A great day out with Neil and Tom.
