Rab Vapour-Rise Lite
/I bought this jacket at the start of the summer, having borrowed one from a friend whilst climbing in the Lake District. What can I say? It is probably the most versatile and well-designed piece of kit that I own. It breathes really well, and is great for Alpine climbing days when you want to go fast and light. You can use it when walking in and put layers on top. It gives enough insulation, but is not too hot. It sheds snow and moisture really well. It is not sold as a waterproof, however it has kept out more water than some of my Goretex jackets do! I have used it on Skye, in the Lakes, and on Mont Blanc. It rarely gets left at home. It is not cheap but represents excellent value for money.
